Year-Over-Year Comparisons in Bar Exam Pass Rates for July 2024 (continuously updated)

As of today, the National Conference of Bar Examiners has posted detailed passage rates for 15 jurisdictions: nine jurisdictions increased their first-time bar passage rates while six jurisdictions saw a decline.
Today's update includes Washington and Vermont.

The National Conference of Bar Examiners added Oklahoma today.
So far, the NCBE has posted detailed passage rates for 13 jurisdictions: eight jurisdictions increased their first-time bar passage rates (with Oklahoma leading the way!) while five jurisdictions saw a decline.

So far, the NCBE has posted detailed passage rates for 12 jurisdictions: seven jurisdictions increased their first-time bar passage rates while five jurisdictions saw a decline.

The National Conference of Bar Examiners added Kansas, which saw a one-percentage-point increase in its first-time passage rates on the July 2024 exam compared to July 2023.

The National Conference of Bar Examiners had a busy day updating its charts with the detailed passage rates for Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. All three jurisdictions saw an increase in their first-time passage rates on the July 2024 exam compared to July 2023.

As of this morning, the National Conference of Bar Examiners has released detailed bar passage rates for a total of five jurisdictions, with Iowa being the most recent jurisdiction being added to its website.
With the ongoing release of the July 2024 bar exam results, we now have the opportunity to compare these new statistics with those from July 2023. In this continuously updated post, I'll examine the first-time pass rates across different jurisdictions, highlighting where improvements have been made, where declines have occurred, and where rates have remained stable.
